A: Yes, Joe would be happy to discuss tailoring a program to meet your needs. The courses are set up on a “module” basis and it is relatively easy to create a customized program that will meet your needs.

Q: What is the minimum/maximum number of students required for a class?

A: 5 to 50

Q: After I take the heavy duty or light duty course, can I be certified?

A: Yes, Joe encourages all students to take the TRAA National Certification test.

Q: Where do the classes take place?

A: Typically Joe will teach the course in the location nearest the students. Often a state association or larger towing company will “host” the courses and the location.

Q: Who provides the equipment needed for the hands-on portion of the class?

A: Hosting company

Q: How much notice do you need in order to teach a class?

A: Depends on existing schedule

Q: Who pays for travel expenses?

A: Typically Star Training and Consulting, Inc. is reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses.

Q: How much do courses cost?

A: Depending on the course selected, number of students, length of course, etc. the average fees range from $1,000-$3,000 daily. For more specifics on pricing please contact Joe Sroga directly.

Q: Will Star Training provide training for new acquisitions of equipment?

A: Frequently light- duty towing companies purchase larger equipment and want to have drivers trained on the operation of their specific piece of equipment. Medium and Heavy-duty towing require many new skills in order to perform towing and recovery tasks without damage,it is beneficial to have drivers trained properly.
